Frederick Wells. I have a record of my age but my stepfather carried it with him to the southern country. named William Wells and Boney Wells.

Ulster County, New York - Elizabeth Wells widow of Jacobus Wells dec'd, late of town of Saugertus died in said town on 17 July 1843 and left surviving her one child Catherine Backer, wife of Peter Backer who is over 21 years of age. (this record is very faint on microfilm and would probably xerox better with copies from the National Archives if this is your ancestor)

Washington, R. I. - 5 Sept 1832 - JAMES WELLS a resident of Hopkinton R.I. age 72. At age of 16 he entered service in the R. I. militia in Col. Joseph Noyes and Capt. Barker ? WELLS company. I was a substitute for my father on guard duty in Noyes Neck in town of Westerly and also served on Island of R.E. under-.-Capt. HENRY WELLS Regt. of Col. Jesse Maxson. I was born in Hopkinton Jan. 1760 and have always lived there. Date of death from tombstone and from affadavits is 29 April 1835.

16 March 1854 Nancy Wells of Newport R. I. age 75 states she was married to JAMES WELLS 7/10 Dec. 1820 and her husband died 20 April 1837 (see above) Her name was Nancy Love and they were married by Stephen Gano a Baptist Minister

JAMES WELLSS17764 Connecticut

He was born at Hartford on 14 Feb. 1755 and has no record of his age. He lived in Hartford when he entered service and has since resided in same town. He knew Gen. Washington, Gen'l Swift, Gen. Knox, Col. Lemuel Wylly, Major John Pelegram Wylly. He was allowed a pension 16 August 1832.
