Bay City, Michigan, November 6, 1895.- Henry Schindehette to the Senate & House of Rep. of the United States. represents that he is the lawful owner of Blwt #88637 dated Dec. 5, 1856 granted to AMOS WELLS, Lt. of N. Y. militia for service in War of 1812 and said AMOS WELLS died somewhere in the state of New York just after the date of said Warrant, leaving no widow and no will and there has been no administration upon his estate, that he left 7 chn as his sole heirs, all of full age, 6 of them more than 20 years since, sold and assigned all their rights, to the other heir, ALEXANDER B. WELLS who on the 20th March 1893 sold to your petitioner. All of said chn and heirs of AMOS WELLS including the said ALEXANDER B. WELLS are now dead.

State of Georgia, Murray County, 25 March 1851: appeared ANDREW J. WELLS aged 35, a resident of sd. county, who was a pvt in company of Capt. Wm. B. Grant in Bttn of Georgia Mtd. Vols. commanded by Major Charles H. Nelson in War with Seminole Indians in Florida and he volunteered on 20 Nov. 1836 for 12 mos.

State of North Carolina, County of Haywood, 26 June 1855: appeared ANDREW K. WELLS aged 51, a resident of Haywood Co. who was a Pvt. In company commanded by Capt. A. Delaperieres Regt. of Georgia Vols. commanded by Julius C. Alfred in the war in Florida with the Creeks and Seminole Indians and he volunteered at Jefferson, Ga. on 4 June 1836 for 6 mos. and was discharged at Columbus, Ga.. Notarized in Jackson Co., N. C.

Blwt #11848-80-55   ANDREW WELLS

State of Alabama, County of DeKalb, 22 March 1855 appeared ANDREW WELLS who was a pvt. in company commanded by Capt. Steven Armstrong in Regt. of Mtd. Vols. commanded by Col. Benjamin Snodgrass in the War with the Seminole indians and he volunteered about 1 Nov. 1837 for 6 months and was discharged at Fort Mitchel, Ala. He was 38 years old in 1851.

State of Arkansas, County of Searcy, 1 April 1851 appeared ANDREW J. WELLS aged 33 years a resident of Searcy Co. was a pvt. in company commanded by Capt. L. Boulton in Regt. of N. Alabama Mtd. Vols. commanded by Col. B. Snodgrass in War with Florida Indians and he was mustered into service at Bellefonte, Ala. 26 Oct. 1837. recd. 80 acres.
