TUNIS WELLS, of Washington Twp., Fayette Co., Pa. to my "dear wife" Margaret 100 ac. of land, including the mansion house where I now live, the orchard and a sufficient quantity of timber, and one horse, her first choice of my stock for and during the term of her natural life, she maintaining and educating my minor children. 2) to my son JOHN 76 acres of land as it now stands surveyed to him adjoining lands of James Laughlin, Michael Floods heirs, and James Patterson. 3) to my son JAMES 50 acres of land including the cabin adjoining James Patterson's land, also livestock. 4) to my two sons RICHARD & WILLIAM, and my dau. SARAH, being already provided for, I give each $1. 5) to my dau. NANCY $40 in cash two years after my decease, a horse, feather bed and cow. 6) to my dau. POLLY, married to Isaac Downs, a horse. 7) to my dau. BETSY one feather bed, a cow at her marriage or within 2 years after my decease. 8) to my dau. MARGARET, REBECCA & CHARLOTTE, each one feather bed and one cow when they reach age 18. Executors Henry Bateman Coe, James Patterson. June 19, 1809.
