On petition August 1717 of Mary Wells, Admx of John Wells late of Balto Co., decld, citation issued unto Mr. John Stokes and Mr. Richard Smithers to appear at next court to make good their objections agst. deceased's inventory or that it may be received and duly returned.

Thomas Wills or Wells petition to Orphans Court (1785) in Ann Arundel County. He was bound to Samuel Hutton to learn trade of carriage maker. Hutton doesn't keep him at this trade nor does he supply food, lodging, etc. Petition for discharge or compensation.

Benjamin Wills, Blacksmith, mentions wife Sarah and her three children: John, Thomas and Joseph Wills (all minors) When he mentions "my wife’s children" wife's is put in as if he had had another wife and other children. He leaves "my wearing apparel to my children".

This means sons. dated 13 April 1777. Richard Richardson and Jacob Franklin refused executorship and wife claime her 1/3..

Is he also the same Thomas Wells who married Mary Disney by banns 17 Oct. 1721 or 1723? see pp 97 and 323 All Hallows Parish Reg. of A. A. County (Your Editor will publish this Register)

Thomas Wells Jr. (b. 28 Aug. 1715 St. James Parish, A. A. Co.) sold "Wells Lott" to Charles Worthington before 1774. (A.A. Gentry, lst Edn. by Harry Wright Newman, P. 344.) Sold land in Worcester Co., Md. 1763, Liber F, Folio 79 to John Hales (Wales?).
