    MRS. BENJAMIN F. WELLS

    One of Madison's Well Known Residents, Died Last Night After Long Illness

    Mrs. Lucy Howe Wood Wells, wife of Mr. Benjamin F. Wells, passed peacefully away at 8:15 o'clock last night after a long illness that was borne with true Christian fortitude. The deceased was born in Madison and was a daughter of the late A. B. and Charlotte Wood. She was educated in the schools of Madison and spent her entire life among her friends here. Of a sweet and amiable disposition she possessed a wide circle of friends who fully and keenly realize their loss She was a true friend and her devotion to those she loved would :make a bright chapter in any life. She was member of the Presbyterian Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister and brother, Miss Elizabeth and Mr. George J. Wood. Funeral services in charge of Dr. Bernard will he held at the Wood residence 312 west Third street at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and 'he interment in the family lot in Springdale cemetery will be private.

    Mr. Wells died Aug 17, 1976, in St. Clair Memorial Hospital at the age of 88.
    While a resident of New Castle, Mr. Wells was a director of the Jameson Memorial Hospital and the New Castle YMCA. He was a 50 year member of Mahoning Lodge 243 of New Castle and a member of Syria Temple Shrine of Pittsburgh.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine K. Wells; two step-daughters, Mrs. Nancy M. Parrish, and Mrs. William E. Christopher and two stepgrandchildren.
