    Kentucky New Era obit posted 24 Aug 1967 reads as follows:

    Services were held at 3pm today at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz for Lefay E. Norman, 77, who died Wednesday at the Trigg County Hospital following a short illness. The Rev. T.D. Everett officiated. Burial followed in the Eastend Cemetery.

    Mrs. Norman, a native of Mt. Clare, Neb., was born March 13, 1890, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cassius Wells.

    She is survived by one son, Larry Norman, assistant manager of WKDZ Radio at Cadiz; one sister, Mrs. Porter Thede, El Paso, Tex.; and two granddaughters, Cathy and Laurie Norman of Cadiz.

    Members of the staff of WKDZ Radio served as pallbearers.

    PORTER C. THEDE MARRIED IN EL PASO Former Maderan, Wedded Last Sunday, Coming to Visit His Father Here.

    Madera Mercury Dally. Porter C. Thede, formerly of Madera and more recently connected with lumbering interests in El Paso. N. M., and in old Mexico, was married in El Paso at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, according to a Ivices received here this morning. Mr. Thede secured a divorce last Saturday on the ground that his wife’s religion had interrupted his happiness. Mr. Thede and his bride are expected to arrive in Madera within a few days. His father, Carston Thede, is so seriously ill that no hope of hia recovery is entertained. The main purpose of P. C. Thede’s visit is therefor that he may visit Mr. Thede. senior. Friends here are informed that Mr. and Mrs P. C. Thede then will proceed to San Francisco.
