I am looking for Flora Celeste Wells who was married to Andrew Jay Steven's. Philip Wells was Flora's father and her mother was Matilda Miner. Flora was born Jan 30 1857 in Illinois. She had a daughter Katie Byrel Steven's born April 15 1878 in IA

Matilda Scott Miner married Philip Wells b June 6 1798 d April 28 1863. Their children were Sarah R. Wells b dec. 30 1848 Susan A. Wells b April 21 1851 married Daniel Starr d Jan 25 1915 Truman S. Wells b Sept 10 1853, Flora Celeste wells b Jan 30 1857 married Andrew Jay Steven's d Dec 8 1924

Three doors away is the following family. It is believed that Philip and Warner Wells are descendants of the Peter Wells familiy of Rhode Island. However, this has not been proven.

It is uncertain at this time who the parents of Phillip and Werner were.

Warner Wells married 1) Pauline Rima (Married in Geauga Co., Ohio) 15 Aug 1822
Phillip Wells married 1) Nancy Tanner - no doubt the mother of the two older children (married 28 Feb 1822 probably also Geauga Co.)

Frances Elizabeth Wells
Born about 1827 in SC; m. SC abt 1850 to Richard Furman Barrett b ca. 1823 at Edgefield Co., SC. They moved from SC thru AL and settled in TX near Liberty Co., then later Hill Co., TX, where they are both buried. May have been near Abbeville, SC.

(8/1839-1920) m. 12/25/1873 to Emma Luella Trephany Cutter Curtis (b. 6/1848; gravestone says 1850 - 1920 Andover, MA). Another spouse of Francis' was Clara F. Davis. His children were: 1) Estella Wells (1/28/1875-9/16/1882); and 2) Harry Escott Wells. The 1900 Essex Co., MA Census shows his parents were b. NH.

Son of Solomon Wells and Mary Pickerell Lewellyn, b 3/29/1874 in Decatur, IA. He m. Zana Margaret Tabler. He had a brother named Lon Wells who had several children. Both lived in the same area and worked for an axehandle factory. Francis Wells' dau, Hazel Wells, (b 9/10/1910) m. Paul Ithamer McConaha.
