    TURNERS FALLS - Mrs. Daisy L. (Wells) Card, 87, of Shattuckville, former resident here, passed away early this morning at the LaBelle Nursing Home, Shelburne Falls. She was the widow of Charles Card.

    Born at Hoosac Tunnel on May 29, 1881, the daughter of Lewis and Celestia (Colby) Wells, she had lived in Shattuckville three years. She was a member of Valley Queen Rebekah Lodge and the Pocahontas, both of Turners Falls.

    She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Guyette of Shattuckville; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Margie Farmer of Greenfield.

    The funeral will be Saturday at 2p.m. in the First Baptist Church. Rev. E.F. Robbins, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Springdale Cemetery, Turners Falls.

Burial was in Arms cemetery, Shelburne Falls. Born in Middlebury, Vt., June 7, 187 [sic], daughter of Mr and Mrs Alfred Sears; married Charles B Wells at Millers Falls in 1897 and with him made her home in Farley, later at Shelburne Falls; came to Greenfield more than 20 years ago; member Second Congregational church and Arcana chapter of Order of Eastern Star; leaves her husband, a son Lyman A Wells of Springfield, a sister Mrs Henry Morrissey of Millers Falls, two brothers Levi D.     Antoinette C. "Nettie" Wells married Arthur "Harold" Williamson Jenkins* on May 30, 1903, at Shelburne Falls, Mass., Herbert S. Dow, clergyman, officiating. Both the bride and groom were residents of Conway. This union was the first marriage for both of them. "Nettie" was 16, Harold was 23. They divorced on January 16, 1914, in Greenfield. She was 26.

    Antoinette had two daughters with husband Harold Jenkins, they were: Norma Jenkins,
    and Celestia Jenkins. Celestia was adopted by Antoinette's sister, Margaret (Wells) Farmer.

    Antoinette again wed to Andrew Jackson Davis of 679 Worthington St., Springfield, Mass., on May 31, 1914, in Andover, Mass., but they divorced on Feb. 25, 1919 in Springfield, Mass., when she was 31. This husband of Antoinette's, Andrew J. Davis, was struck by a car and killed in Greenfield, Mass., in May of 1920, his final resting place has yet to be discovered.

    Antionette once again married, to James J. Kenny, on June 17, 1922 in Springfield, with Clarence D. Chase, Justice of the Peace officiating. They were married for 19 years.

    Mrs. Antoinette M. [sic] Kenny, wife of James J. Kenny, died last night at Cambridge. She was a former resident of this city. She was born in Conway, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wells. Besides her husband, she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Norma Varley of Greenfield; three brothers, Henry and John of Conway and Fred of Colrain, and four sisters, Mrs. George E. Farmer, Mrs. Anthony Fuchs, Mrs. Charles Card and Mrs. Dolly Munson, all of Turners Falls. The funeral will be held at the Gleason funeral parlor on State street, Monday morning at 8:15, followed by a requiem high mass at St. Michael's cathedral at 9. Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery.

    She was orginally buried 11 Aug 1925 in a single grave, Woodside Ave. Later, her husband purchased a two-grave lot and remains of Hilda M. WELLS were transferred to lot 3187, May 4, 1926 (reference Work Book, pg. 262). Burial plot #3187 Charles E. WELLS 6 x 9. Charles E. WELLS is not buried here. No others are buried here.
