  Sister Nola Wells, formerly Sister Mary Vincent, is from Holy Cross Parish in South Portland. She has worked in education from kindergarten through college, teaching in Portland, Biddeford, Lewiston, South Portland, John Bapst in Bangor, and Rumford. She also has done religious education and pastoral ministry. In the early 1970s, she worked in nuclear medicine and radiation safety at Georgetown University Medical Center. In recent years, she was on the staff of the External Degree Program at St. JosephÆs.

  Robert was born in Bethel on Feb. 6, 1924, the son of Venora and Florence (Bradley) Wells. He graduated from Farmington High School in 1942 and went to serve his country in the Army in World War II. Robert married Edith Whittier on Feb. 7, 1946, in Kingfield. She passed away Jan. 7, 1997. Robert worked as a surveyor for Wright & Pierce Co. He was a member of the American Legion Post 28 and the West Farmington Fire Department. He was an avid gardener and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and dancing.
  
  Robert is survived by five daughters, Sally Farmer and husband, Erald, of Temple, Susan Campbell and husband, Michael, of Bangor, Nancy Ellis of Industry, Becky Bogue and husband, Jonathan, of Farmington and Mary Young of Tennessee; two sons, R. Scott Wells and wife, Mary, of Wilton and Roger A. Wells and wife, Valerie, of Farmington; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Wells of Massachusetts; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
  
  Robert was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Edith; a son, Gregory; a granddaughter, Shelby; a brother, Albert; and a son-in-law, Theodore Ellis Sr.
  
  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at Adams Funeral Home, 108 Court St. in Farmington. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Planting officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Farmington.
