9) Mervin Sumner Wells, b. Mar. 24, 1900. Marr. Margaret Neider at Grand Rapids, Mich., May 28, 1925. Have 2 children, Mervin Jr., and Shirley. D. Nov. 10, 1954.
9) James Virgil Wells, b. Nov. 6, 1901. Marr. Irene Roy, July 21, 1928 at Muskegon, Mich. Has one son, Dr. James Roy Wells, Muskegon. Irene d. Mar. 3, 1963. Married Lorraine 1965.
Jesse's first wife, Nellie d. Nov. 23, 1901. He marr. Nannette Frances Groves in Chicago on Sept. 7, 1904. Nannette was b. in Ennis, Co. Clare, Ireland, Aug. 11, 1877, and came to America when she (was) 16 years of age. Was one of 12 children, b. to Wm. And Ann Brinen Groves. They had two children:
9) Vernon William (Wells), b. July 23, 1905, at Montague, Michigan. He marr. Lucille Giles At Grand Rapids, Mich. Feb. 6, 1926. They have 4 children:
10) Mary Frances Wells b. Mar 31, 1928. Mar Lt. Col. Ray Carson, have 2 children.
10) Barbara Lucille (Wells), now Mrs. Tom Condon, Costa Mesa, Calif. Has two children.
10) Ann Elizabeth (Wells), now Mrs. Iver Johnson, Phoenix, Ariz. Has 3 children.
10) David Michael wells, marr., lives in Ill., has twin sons.
Vernon and Lucille were divorced. He later marr. Louise Jensen in Pampa, Tex. On July 4, 1953. They have two children. Live in Wilmington, Delaware, where he is Vice. Pres. and Sales Mgr. of Electric Hose and rubber Co.
