I give to my granddaughters Elizabeth and Maria Wood my bureau, bed and bedding this seventeenth day of August 1837.
The above named property was keep by me and was not included in a deed of trust made by me to my three sons, Thomas, John, and Richard Wells. Sealed, signed, and acknowledged the day and date above writing.

About the fourth of January 1836 I, Thomas Wells of the County of Mason and the State of Kentucky, did make a deed of trust to three of my sons, Thomas, John and Richard Wells, for the purpose of disposing of my estate among my children adn in compliance with the said deed of trust they have made sale of my estate as I had requested to be done and have paid over to all my children that is now living the sum of on thousand and five dollars, except to my daughter Rachel Shephered who has had eleven hundred dollars, and I have had one thousand and five dollars myself, leaving in my trustees hands in notes and money to the amount of five thousand and eight hundred and seventeen dollars out of which I do direct my trustees to pay to my daughter Sally Dye's children, Richard Dye, and Samuel Dye to have three hundred dollars apiece, and the balance to be equally divided between the other three children, and to be paid to the children as they become of age, also to pay my daughter Mary Wood's children, the sum of one thousand and five dollars as they become of age, to be equally divided amongst them all.
Also to my daughter Elizabeth Wells the sum of two hundred dollars and the property that I left her in the deed of trust is to be hern as I left it to her in the deed of trust.
Also to pay to Elizabeth Wood and Maria Wood the sum of one hundred dollars apiece, and to my son John Wells' two eldest sons the sum of fifty dollars to each of them and to Richard Wells' son Thomas Wells the sum of one hundred dollars all of which is to be paid out of the money and notes now in the hands of my trustees, and the balance that will be remaining in my trustees hands of the five thousand eight hundred and seventeen dollars, I claim as my own, and to be at my disposal of which I give Richard Wells and Hugh McIlvain the use of it till I call for it, and at my death to be equally divided amongst my children, except Alexander Wells, Rachael Shepherd and David Wells, them three having received all that I allow them out of my estate, - as to the one thousand and five dollars that I have now on hand, or what there may be of it, at my death I give it to Richard Wells, George Wells, and Hugh McIlvain to be equally divided between them. As to what property I have that is not named in this instrument of writing, I shall dispose of it as I may see proper, hereafter without making any alterations in this.
I do now revoke the deed of trust to my three sons the 4th of January, 1836 and appoint Richard Wells and John Wells my executors of this my last will and testament. Given under my hand and seal this 13th day of June 1838.

The last will and testament of Thomas Wells deceased was produced in Court and proved by the oath of Moses Dimmitt and Sinclair Dimmitt witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
A paper purporting to be a Codocil to the last will and testament of Thomas Wells deceased was further proved by the oath of Harlow Yancey and other witnesses thereto, and the same is ordered to be recorded.
Sworn to by Richard Wells and John S. Wells the executor therein names, whereupon they executed and acknowledged bond with Moses Dimmitt and Harlow Yancey as their securities in the penalty of twelve thousand dollars conditioned as the law requires.
And upon their motion, it was ordered that a certificate be granted them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
